Pentel Graphgear 500 0.3 mm

As the description at the last page says, this is the most basic Graphgear one will find (others include the 800 and the 1000). Starting off, despite being very cheap, has a standard brass clutch. The ten-click mechanism is great, at around 3.5 mm per 10 clicks, but the clutch mechanism is not solid, meaning there is no real click. Moving on, there are three main features: a knurled grip, a metal clip, and a hexagonal upper body. The knurled grip is not the best, as it is not nearly sharp to help maintain a solid grip on the pencil. The metal clip is fine, but the hexagonal upper body I do not feel is needed, since the diameter of the grip section is already thicker than the upper barrel. As for the construction though, it's great, since it's a metal grip with a plastic upper barrel. As for the grading scale, well...

If you are looking for a lower priced drafting pencil in 0.3 mm, I would take it. As for me, there are better options out there.

Does this go on my personal list?

No. -_-
